A customer from Pakistan purchased our circuit board recycling equipment. In fact, this customer started communicating with us around March when we began discussing their product needs. Initially, a friend of the customer inquired about purchasing the equipment, but since this friend didn't speak English, the customer communicated with me afterward.
The customer's main need was to purchase a circuit board dismantling machine to dismantle and recycle the tin from approximately 100 tons of circuit boards each month. This wasn't their final goal; it was just their initial purchase. They plan to order five more PCB dismantling machines and subsequent recycling equipment for broken circuit boards once their production volume reaches their target. Therefore, this was our first collaboration, but it's crucial for future cooperation, and we take it very seriously. They had previously purchased equipment locally in Pakistan at very low prices, but the performance was mediocre, and the machines were of poor quality, failing to effectively sort the circuit boards. This was why they were so disappointed with the local machines, so they contacted us hoping we could help them. I told the customer not to worry, their needs were very simple, and our machines were highly intelligent and could easily solve their problems. Because our factory was running a promotion, we offered the customer a considerable discount. The customer readily accepted our price. However, the problem was that this was the client's first time purchasing equipment from abroad. He knew nothing about import/export procedures and customs clearance, and had never even made a payment through a bank before, which caused some delays. Furthermore, being a first-time buyer, the client had some concerns; he worried we might be scammers and couldn't fully trust us. At this point, we remembered our long-time client David from Pakistan and asked him to call the client. They communicated in the same language, and David enthusiastically introduced us. He had worked with us many times and was already one of our important partners. We didn't encourage David to exaggerate or boast about us; a few simple, objective statements were enough to convince the client, as they were from the same country and engaged in the same business. The video call ended quickly, and the client completely trusted us, paying a deposit through the bank the next day.
Currently, the machine is about to be shipped. We report the machine's production progress to the client daily and provide quality inspection videos. We hope this cooperation is a good start and look forward to continuing to help our clients in the future.
