
ith the development of the photovoltaic industry, the large amount of decommissioned photovoltaic panels awaiting recycling has become a major pain point for the industry. These waste photovoltaic panels not only contain metals such as copper, aluminum, and silicon, but also contain a large amount of high-value materials such as silver. This silver can be chemically refined and extracted using this equipment to ultimately form silver with a purity of 99% or even higher than 99.9%. This greatly enhances the utilization of value and the protection of resources.
Our photovoltaic panel silver extraction equipment is an environmentally friendly, modular, comprehensive recycling system for waste photovoltaic modules. It targets retired photovoltaic panels, defective photovoltaic cells, and battery scraps, employing a composite process of physical sorting, anaerobic pyrolysis, and selective wet silver extraction. Unlike traditional single-process silver extraction equipment, its core advantages include: prioritizing the preservation of high-value silicon material, efficiently extracting electrode silver, and fully recycling glass, aluminum, and copper. This addresses four major pain points in the industry: damaged silicon material, excessive pollution, low recovery rates, and high labor costs.

The raw materials for silver extraction equipment from photovoltaic panels are mainly divided into two categories: 1. Silicon wafers of various sizes obtained from photovoltaic panel recycling equipment. After removing glass, EVA, and metal, they are in the form of whole wafers, half wafers, and small fragments, with residual silver on the surface. 2. Silicon powder. After the photovoltaic panels are crushed/ground, fine powder with a size of approximately 10-20 mesh is obtained. This powder is used as the raw material for silver extraction. The silicon in photovoltaic panels contains a large amount of metallic silver, which needs to be extracted using a chemical wet process.
Through the silver extraction process, waste solar PV panels can be recycled to recover 99% purity crude silver and 99.9%/99.99% high-purity silver as final products.
High Silver Extraction Efficiency and Purity
Silver recovery rate: 98%–99.5%, with almost no loss of silver content. Silver purity can reach 99.9%, and the final product, smelted into silver ingots, meets standards and can be traded directly.
