This week, we welcomed two clients from Germany who are involved in the solar panel recycling business. They collect and process end-of-life solar PV panels and are looking for a more efficient way to separate the glass and other valuable materials. At present, removing the encapsulation materials from solar panels is a time-consuming part of their recycling process. They want to introduce a Solar PV Panel Tunnel Furnace to improve processing efficiency and make the following separation steps easier.
We had been in contact online for several weeks. During our discussions, the clients asked about processing capacity, heating temperature, operating time, and the condition of the recovered materials. They also compared different equipment options before deciding to visit our factory for an on-site inspection. After confirming their travel arrangements, we helped organize their hotel accommodation and picked them up for the factory visit.

In our workshop, we introduced the structure and working principle of the Solar PV Panel Tunnel Furnace. We explained how controlled heating helps soften or decompose EVA encapsulation materials, making it easier to separate the glass, silicon cells, and metal components in subsequent processes. The clients carefully inspected the heating zones, conveyor system, and temperature control components. They also asked about energy consumption, exhaust gas treatment, daily maintenance, and the requirements for continuous operation.
During the technical discussion, we reviewed their solar panel types and expected processing volume. We also discussed how the tunnel furnace could be integrated with their existing dismantling and separation equipment. The clients were particularly interested in temperature control and the consistency of the treatment results, as these factors would affect the efficiency of the subsequent recycling process.

The factory visit gave both sides a better understanding of the project requirements. After the inspection, the clients planned to evaluate the equipment configuration, installation costs, and operating expenses with their team in Germany. They will contact us again after completing their internal assessment. We look forward to further discussions and hope to support their solar PV panel recycling project.
